Teachers and students at Greenville High School will soon benefit from a future oriented program that will transform their education from the traditional listen and learn experience to one that utilizes computers, the Internet, and enhanced technology. Greenville High School was selected in 2006 as one of the first schools across Pennsylvania to create Classrooms for the Future by providing state-of-the-art equipment and enhanced teacher development. “We are constantly seeking ways to prepare our students for success in the classroom, but more importantly for life beyond high school,” Dr. John Ziegler, High School Principal, said. “Classrooms for the Future will not only help to boost achievement while our students are still in high school, but they will be primed for success in fields that require advanced skills with computers and technology. “If we are to adequately prepare our students to effectively compete in the global marketplace, we must transform how they learn and how teachers teach.” This video shows how technology is used within Greenville schools while highlighting Greenville High School’s Classrooms for the Future.
