Greenville Area School District is pleased to continue the senior volunteer tax exchange program for the current school year. The SMILES (Senior Motivators In Learning & Education Services) Program welcomes residents who are 60 years of age or older and pay residential property tax. Participants have the opportunity to volunteer a minimum of 35 hours of service in exchange for up to $250 toward reduction in school property taxes.
Opportunity exists for seniors to share their knowledge and experience in the following areas: clerical aide, grounds assistant, guest reader/speaker, library assistant, music/art assistant. CUSTODIAL POSITIONS (PM only)
The Greenville Area School District is accepting applications for one (1) full-time second shift (pm) custodian, and for Substitute Custodians.
Successful candidate must possess the following skills and physical capabilities: Ability to move furniture and operate scrubbers, buffers, auto scrubbers and carpet cleaning equipment to facilitate the maintenance of all floor surfaces. Pay close attention to detail and manage time wisely. Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
Daily duties will include but are not limited to sweeping and mopping floors, emptying wastebaskets, clean and sanitize restrooms, wipe furniture, and must have the ability to use ladders when required in work assignment. Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms and events.
