GASD Educational Foundation

The Greenville Area School District Educational Foundation was established in 2018 as an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The Foundation’s objective is to provide a non-traditional funding source for opportunities to further enhance and enrich the educational experiences of students in the Greenville Area School District. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and ex-officio members that share a common goal of working to provide all students with the ability to pursue and reach their diverse educational dreams.

Mission and Purpose

The mission of the Foundation is to develop, promote, and finance educational programs, activities, and projects for the Greenville Area School District, including, but not limited to, the following:

Creating new and enhancing existing programs and activities to provide opportunities to fully develop our students as leaders now and into the future.
 
Creating partnerships between Greenville Area School District, and the surrounding community.
 
Recognizing and promoting the accomplishments of students, teachers, staff, and alumni of the Greenville Area School District.
 
Rewarding and advancing excellence and achievement through scholarships.
 
Promoting healthier and safer classroom and school environments.
 
Assisting and promoting projects that will directly affect programs of excellence for the students, staff, and communities comprising the Greenville Area School District.

Contribution Information

 

 

 

The Foundation is an independent, volunteer-based, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Funding opportunities include:

1. Annual Fund Giving – Yearly donations to fund initiatives in and out of the classroom.

2. Major Projects - Donations to fund specific capital projects, both current and long-term.

3. Legacy Giving – Donors name GASDEF in their estate plan as a beneficiary, and the gift is realized upon their passing. Gifts may be directed to specific interests, used to build endowment, or provide scholarship opportunities for graduates.

Blue Club:  $10,000 - $24,999
Gold Club:  $25,000 +
